Todd asked:

I understand that when a mortgage is foreclosed the bank or lender holding the mortgage takes a beating. But I figure there must be some types of business that profit in this environment. Does somebody here know any?

Many people already have and many more will have huge financial problems and will seek debt/bankruptcy consulting. Collecting business will florish.
People will need mini storages as they move out of their foreclosed homes. Laundromats may get more popular. Pawn shops may be on the rise too.
